blocked drain help

Hi, I wonder if any of you can help me. I have a blocked toilet. I tried the Mr Muscle and that didn't work, tried putting wire down to move the blockage but no luck. So as a last resort before phoning an expensive plumbler, I put Caustic Soda down as loads of people I read online recommended it. This has now solidified in the bottom of my toilet. any ideas how to shift it? I realise I can't really put any chemical e.g. bleach down because it will react. what do I do?? any advice would be appreciated.

    Thankyou for searching for an apropriate thread :A but in this case, I think you have more chance of getting a reply if your post is in a thread of its own so I've split it into a separate thread. Unfortunately I have no advice to offer but hopefully someone else will know what to do.

    I'll leave this thread on Old Style to see if you can get some help and then move it over to the In my home (includes DIY) MoneySaving where there are a number of experts (including plumbers) who may be able to help.

    I hope you manage to get it sorted out.
