I used to leave my PC on overnight since people had told me that it's better for the PC if it's not switched on and off too often. I no longer believe this to be the case and have been turning it off overnight this year in a bid to save a little on the electricity bill. I do think it's helped and saved a good few pounds but I don't think it's been a substantial saving - every little helps though!
