There's no harm (or cost) in answering it.
Just don't call back!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
An alternative number to their 'Find me anywhere' 0700 is 0207 5933400 (off saynoto0870.com).0

Thanks for bringing this thread up again - I had a call from an 070 number the other day, and was going to call it back as I too assumed it was a mobile number.
I didn't get round to calling back and now I've seen this thread I definitely won't!Blood donations to date: 10 | Type: O negative0 -
Slightly different twist on the same theme.
Got a call from a recording of a ladies voice saying " please call me back to arrange delivery of your radio" Number was 07045271947 . Thinking the wife had ordered it for xmas I nearly rang , however she was due back soon and I waited, she knew nothing about it.Typed 0704 into Google and arrived on this forum !

They're still at it. It's called CLI Dumping.
Just had a half second 'ping' from 07099895049 on my mobile. Needless to say, I didn't ring back and, only being able to find THIS on the Ofcom website (and no specific way to complain about CLI dumping), I emailed ruth.gibson@ofcom.org.uk to report it.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. These numbers come under the responsibility of Icstis. See their recent bulletin

Just got the same call, a recording, even though I asnwered the call, from a 'sarah' on 07045 271 811, also haven't ordered a radio so did the same as you, Google and arrived here. Tried to report number to ICSTIS but no one available at the mo!

No - I have one for work, and don't receive a penny from it. It just means that I can divert the calls to wherever I happen to be, or switch it off completely when I'm not working. YAC.com do them for free - if a business needs me, call the number.
They aren't always a scam.0
