...you're nicking it from Natwest... I would've declined you as well.0

The OP shouldn't have wasted their time with the jobsworth employee after all you only need to see branch staff once, they are irrelevant after the account is open :cool:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Why didn't you get a credit card with a 0% interest period and £1000 limit and put that in a savings account? That is a line of credit you can 'do what you want with'. An overdraft is not a interest free loan, it's there as a buffer.
Don't be aghast that other people as well as the bank advisor see your activity as suspicious. Obviously (as seen above) some people agree with you but I speak as a fraud investigator with 8 years experience of declining people for suspicious activity. I would've declined you. when it comes to suspicions of fraud you have to be a 'jobsworth' I'm afraid.0 -

the op i can understand them turning you down as they would not make much form you .But i think what you are doing with your other accounts is great as you are using them to your advantage nothing wrong with this .if natwest do not like it they can ask for the overdarft to be paid at anytime in fact they might as overdarfts are not suppose to be maxed out ,but make the interest while you can .The last post about the credit card, is not the same as you balance transfer fees anyway .
sorry about the very rude lady in Barclay's she was out or order and sorry about some of the stick you are getting here on what is suppose to be a money saving board .0 -

Same poster I'm afraid. Never a bank clerk. Just 2 years training in fraud, and 8 years experience.
The OP posted wanted opinions about the situation and he got them. Not my problem/concern if he disagrees with me, that his prerogative, and offering my opinion is mine.0 -
8 years eh? Crikey how many declinatures a day for suspected fraud is that do you think?0

I am surprised that you are a "fraud investigator with 8 years experience of declining people for suspicious activity" bearing in mind your previous posts
"Is there something wrong with Experian??" (posted by you yesterday)
and
"Co-op Bank has stitched me up - help please!!!"
If I was considering opening an account in branch , would it be unwise to ask the employee whether they use software to check for suspicious activity or do it manually ?
What method did you use in your 8 years experience - manual or automated ?Jojo1daffy wrote: »Same poster I'm afraid. Never a bank clerk. Just 2 years training in fraud, and 8 years experience.
Was this your previous job then ?, since you changed jobs in October 2009Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Credit cards don't work that way.... otherwise I would also be doing that!0 -

What has this got to do with my previous posts??
I didn't change jobs, I changed companies. (if that is any of your business).
Automated is not sufficient for fraud. Manually checked credit files using Experian e-consumerview, Autotrace, Equifax credit reporting, Equifax Investigation, Callcredit, also used Hunter, Insolvency Agency,Land Reg, FSA, in-house databases...etc etc...
That enough for you? You should get into Fraud - you're nosey enough.0
