Slate floor help!!!

We have had this week a "chinese slate" floor laid in the kitchen. Guy who laid the tiles said he would coat them with linseed oil to to bring out the colour and seal the tiles. He did this on Wednesday and for some reason the tiles are still tacky to touch today!! The jar of oil suggests 2/3 hours drying time is normal (it came from Focus DIY).
Anybody experienced the same or can offer any advice? We have turned up the central heating in hope that it will help....?

Linseed oil ? thought that was just for cricket bats !!
I personally would have gone for Slate oil... google it !You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Sounds like they have applied more than the slate could absorb (big part of the reason linseed oil is so rarely recommended now there are plenty of alternatives). If I were you I would try & get the contracter back to rectify their mistake.0
