twitter help needed!

anyone? help needed changing twitter's 86444 short code to a normal (UK) mobile number, so I can use some free texts from virgin, this weekend...

apaprantly these short codes arent included, though not mentioned in their lovely message..

(750free texts kick in when you top up £10 or more in the week, on a virgin payg phone..)

I don't know if you can.

could you not use twitters mobile site at m.twitter.com, on virgin you get 25MB for 30p a day (24hrs when you first use it) and if you only use the twitter site then 25MB would be more than enough.
it would probably be better useability than using the SMS based service too.
