It's going to be a busy day at B&B today.
Remember when you close the account to get them to remove all your contact details off there systems.0 -
£1553.95 landed in my Lloyds TSB from B&B Xmas Saver just now. Sent the certificate in about a week ago with instructions that upon maturity to pay the money into my Lloyds account.0

My wife and I had X-mas saver accounts which we have closed and deposited onto our A&L premier direct account and once the cheques will be cleared will go onto our Direct Saver account.0

Popped into B&B today to close my xmas saver. I did ask if they were likely to run it again and was told no.0

Lucky you.
I contacted my local B&B and was told unless I wanted to tansfer internally to another of their accounts, I had to go in and get a cheque. They refused to accept any other instructions by post or by personal visit.
Then asked if they would transfer it to my B&B esaver - and was told that account was excluded from any internal transfers by staff. :mad:0 -
Even luckier, today I received the closed certificate in the post, along with the stub of the paying-in counterfoil whereby they had obviously done a 2 minute walk along the road to my Lloyds Bank branch and paid it in for me. I have the proof!!! Service!0

I went into my local branch yesterday and asked for the maximum cash withdrawl allowed £750,however the very kind lady allowed me to withdraw the total which I walked the few yards to my A & L branch and paid it into my high interest A/C there.
I also asked if I could transfer direct into B&B e-saver and was told no.Does'nt seem very joined up thinking.0 -
Queue wasn't too bad in the local branch today - considering it was Saturday morning. Only trouble was, the computer system 'kept freezing' according to the staff (including during my transaction). Apparently, it couldn't cope with the volume of work being asked of it
Would have loved to insert a smilie for 'aah - poor thing' at this point!0 -
Hi guys,
I actually work for B&B. With regards to the system freezing, unfortunately this is a side effect of a recent upgrade of our computer systems. It will get better with time however like all computer systems, all the problems are not yet fully ironed out. Also, with regards to e-savings accounts, This is trated as a seperate department and unfortunately, we do not have the facility to transfer to such accounts as of yet. Is this something that other banks/BSs offer?0
