moeny transfer not received by Halifax

Hey guys & gals,
just wanted to find out if people have had the same issue I am currently having at the moment. If so, advice would be welcomed.
A few weeks ago I transfered £500 from my Barclays current account to the new Halifax Isa. This amount has been accepted but has not transfered to the Halifax.
I have phoned Halifax many times who have told me that they have no record of this amount entering the account even though it has left my barclays account.
I have checked the sort code and account number which are all correct. I was advised a few days that Halifax did encounter this amount and would return it to Barclays. Phoned yesterday and have denied this.
Any advice?
many thanks

You will have to contact Barclays, and ask them to put a trace on the money.
Barclays will then be able to confirm exactly what they have done with it.0 -

cheers, have done that.
Just find it odd that there is a correct sort code and account number but Halifax are still adament that they have no record of the money.
thanks once again0 -
Perhaps a roll number issue?0

My knowledge of roll numbers isn't great however, when setting up standing orders to Halifax accounts, we used to have to enter the roll number as the payment reference. Don't think you will find it on a card, maybe a statement?MigsyBigsy wrote: »where can i locate the roll number?0 -
It won't be a roll number issue, Halifax and Bank of Scotland at most use roll numbers for internal referencing (e.g. some computer systems still take roll numbers), but this being phased out as part of the integration with Lloyds TSB. Halifax is a fully fledged bank under Bank of Scotland's banking license, so in no respect is regarded as a building society, meaning roll numbers are not required to transfer money in to a Halifax account.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0

It's on your welcome letter, along with sort code and account number...but I don't think that will be the problem since the ISA account numbers are unique, ie don't use a collection account.MigsyBigsy wrote: »where can i locate the roll number?
Did the transfer go by FP or BACS? If FP, does the sort code used accept FPs?0 -
