Vw Beetles ? GREAT cars, cheap insurance, small engine and a HUGE owners club with support.
Once you get fed up with it, rip the body off and stick a Porsche Speedsster or 550 body on then sell it for £12K+The DWP = Legally kicking the Disabled when they are down.0 -
My ex had a (show winning) beetle and a type 2 at various points. I drove both of them fairly regularly. I'm genuinely suprised that the germans have a reputation for good cars! The bus was OK, but you kinda expected it as it was a big clunky thing, the beetle though was horrific! Worst car I have ever driven - and I've driven a fair few classics and moderns. I'd rather have an allegro than a beetle.
The other thing is with the air cooled VWs, they are a NIGHTMARE to service, any car where the easiest way to change the spark plugs is to pull the engine cannot be a good car in my books...Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0 -
