Iv'e just been offered insurance against my IVA failing due to health or sickness or unemployment.

There is a regular poster on https://www.iva.co.uk who offers this ( can't remember who though -- will have a think). As long as the installments are covered from your allowances (can't be claimed as an allowable allowance in itself as far as I am aware), it should be OK0
