Letter from Moon Beever

Hi Guys,

Need your advice.

This morning recieved a letter from Moon Beever asking me to fill in a questionnaire about my income and outgoings.

Whether they are going to vary or suspend my payments.

I was under the impression that IPAs are only in affect for 3 years. My IPA started on 13th December 2007.

I've only ever made 1 payment and that was in January 2008, since then no payments were made.

If the 3 year rule is still in force, can I ignore the letter or tell them that the IPA is finished?

At the time Clarke Wilmott didn't say anything, it was the RTLU that sent a previous questionnaire. Nothing about a suspension.

So should I fill out the questionnaire tell them I'm on benefits and remind them the IPA lapsed in December 2010?

It doesnt look like you have any liability here so I wouldn't fill out the form, just ring them as Iquit suggests.

Have you kept all you paperwork relating to the BR, especially any letters about your IPA? If you are still on benefits then even if your IPA was suspended you would still not be expected to pay one.

    They do.

The legislation states that an IPA agreement "may not end after the period of three years beginning with the date on which the agreement is made."

A bit of an arse about face way of phrasing it, but it basically means that no matter what else happens, legally the IPA agreement must end no later than 3 years after it was signed.

Variation/suspension of the IPA payments does not stop those 3 years from running.
