just had a telephone meeting with cccs to discuss an iva, and after the meeting they rang me back to say my case is too complex to deal with over the phone and really requires a face to face with grant thornton group. anyone had this happen to them?
( if anyone wants to to look at my case just look at my previous posts)
cheers

Face to face meetings are generally used for self employed and complex matters. CCCS themselves don't do the IVA setting up ( although they have a sister company that does) and it could well be that the person you spoke to was out of his / her depth. Either give GT a ring, or pop over to https://www.iva.com for a list of other companies (with reviews) and ring a couple.0

Case complexity shouldn't be a bother, but it could depend on your geographical position. CCCS will almost certainly pick up a referral fee for sending you to Grant Thornton - not that that will affect you really!
CCCS are a waste of time for self employed cases as they do not have the staff qualified to deal with it.
As Foggy says above, go to GT or go to another company... I would have a look on "iva . com" - Michael Peoples is the self employed boy to speak to over there!Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

Hi, I used GT about 4 years ago to do a "Fast track" IVA, they did a brilliant job for me, I approached them because they did a good job for a mate of mine a couple of years earlier. No up front fees.
good luck with whoever you go with, best thing I ever did.0 -
P.S. my contct was with a lady called Karen, Lancs area - she was excellent to deal with.0
