Long time no see
Bit of hissing and evil looks around but frankly most of the time nobody would realise there is 6 cats in here, they all got their favourite places and snore happily for most of the time anyway.
I have a bit of an issue with Macius my smallest one though. It is ongoing and now I know it will never change.
All my boys go out - that involves me walking them down from my 1st floor flat and letting them out (fob entry/exit) to communal garden and then bringing them back in. Which is fine. Teddy Fred and George are perfectly happy with that, go out when I call them and come back when I call them. At home they just sleep.
Macius on the other hand he HOWLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS all day long (and sometimes at night) by the front door, jumps at the door demanding to be allowed out. He would like a revolving doors really. Failing that - a house with a cat flap and own garden away from busy roads.
So I am constantly on a guilt trip with this one
teddy Fred and George never go far and always cme when called. Macius dissapears for hourssssssssssssssssssssss and runs all over the estate - he eventually comes back home and screams to be let back in by the front entrance by the intercom .. Thought to give him a key but doubt it would work
At home he is the most loving purring cuddle seeking kitty, sleeps with me too BUT he just wants to be able to go out/back in as he pleases and I do not have this option here.
So just feel sorry for him most of the time.
As sme of you may remember, Macius seems to have some coordination problems and is a bit "wobbly". He has been checked by vets tail to nose and had all tests done and there is nothing wrong with him to stop him having a great life as he does not realise he is wobbly. He jumps on the table knocking everything flying - very happy with himself as he wants cuddles at THAT moment.. runs with his matchstick legs in all directions, growls at other cats to be out first etc etc. He is the smallest at only 4kg and the most fun to have around but I just wish he could go out in a safe environment with a cat flap.
But there is so many cats needing homes that I doubt I would ever find someone suitable to take him on so he stays put - unless a miracle happens and someone with a garden, no other cats (Macius gets on with my other cats but he would be happier as only cat that is clear) and no small kids around (none of my cats likes kids, they never had any contact with small kids) pops out but hey... do not think this is gonna happen.
Just let him out as he was screaming to be let out since 7 am... I can see Teddy in the garden but Macius is gone running around God knows where. Estate is pretty quiet but still - always worry he may run onto a busy road (no idea how far he goes). No alternative though - can not keep this one indoors all the time as he would be most misearable....
Macius
By the way - had 3 of my boys valued at some point0 -
GR, I know how special Macius is to you so don't you waste time feeling guilty about him. He has a wonderful home with you and the gang so don't think anyone could offer him better.
I still think you could build some kind of cat ladder down from your flat to the garden though.0 -
that is the norm - just changed the litter boxes.... lol
and Teddy the clown chilling out...0 -
Thanks PP... wish I knew what is in this little head of his....0

Now I know how your litter lasts so long ..... those trays would have to be 1/2 full of litter for Archie!
It has to be 6" deep for him! :eek:Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Ah - that is only because now I split one bag between 3 trays (since the girls arrived). I used to split a bag between two trays before so it was much deeper.
No idea how long will a bag last now with 6 cats.. with 4 a bag was lasting 2 weeks - between 2 trays.
All 3 trays are same size.. now I got 2 in the hallway and one in the living room sighhh0 -
He'd be protect peeing everywhere if I tried that one! lol
Having enough 'pee issues' with him atm!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
