Booked Macius for this Thursday to his balls chopped off.... Poor little guy...
Got to do it this week as may be going back to work (wohooooooooooooooooooooooo) from the 5th or from the 12th, just waiting for an official start date.
So Thursday morning taking Macius to CH for neutering for 9am and leaving him there.
Coming home and taking Zara for her booster (between 11 and 1)
Coming Home with Zara
Going back to pick up Macius at around 3-4 pm.
Back home with Macius.
Takes me around an hour one way so Thursday is going to be a very long day..... on the busses. BUT:
CH - cat neutering and miocrochip £30
Goddards for the above £80
CH dog booster £18
Goddards for the same £46
No brainer really.... and I am on such tight budget that can not do it any other way.
Even when I start work, won't see any money till end of the March and then it will be just 2 weeks wages and another month to wait for whole month wages so all is going to be really tough, tougher than now to be honest till the new pattern bills/wages settles... sigh....0 -
I hope you see this in time. The RSPCA do a scheme were you can get a voucher to use in any vets for free neutering if you can't afford it, or take in rescue animals. Our local RSPCA branch in East London were very pleased to see local people use the scheme. I saw the leaflets on display but I should think phoning the RSPCA would get you the right form to apply with. You don't have to prove what benefits you are on at all and the advantage is you can use it at any convenient vets.

I dont know about RSPCA but Cat Protection certainly offer this same service, and Goddards do participate in the scheme.0

Thanks ladies but won't have the time to wait for a voucher - starting the new job on the 5th or 12th (waiting for the date now) and need to get this sorted before then.....
I called Goddards at Walthamstow before with Lucy and they told me they "run out of vouchers", ended taking her to CH at the time...0 -
GR, you do not need a voucher, call CP tomorrow and check. All you do is book it in to Goddards telling them it is under the Cp scheme and bring proof of benefit on the day

Paddyypaws, thanks but - that is what I have done with Lucy and they told me as above..
It is ok really, I can manage that 30 (it is with microchip included), just about...0 -
Well, the plan for tomorrow is...
Take Macius and Zara for 9 am to CH and.. wait there with Zara for the vaccination clinic to open at 11.
Macius needs to be dropped off by 9, Zara can only be seen between 11 and 1.
Sigh.....
Then back home with Zara and later on back to CH to pick up Macius.
Ah, at least this way it will only be 2 round trips not 3....
Still , no idea why can't they vaccinate Zara at 9 am when I drop Macius off with them
Hanging around there for 2 hours with the dog.... hmmmmmmm0 -
Well, got to CH with Macius in his basket and Zara in her halti at just around 9am.
Booked Macius in for :
neutering
microchip
worming
(got flea treatement at home)
asked if they could give Zara her booster - nope, got to wait till the vaccination clinic starts... at 11... sigh....
empty waiting room, vet comes out to see who is there at just before 10am, looks at us like "wasup?" - so asked the vet if he could give Zara her booster/worming anf he did wohoooooo was home at 11:00
poor Macius still there, got to call them at 3.30 to find out what time can I pick him up
he was VERY unhappy in the cat basket, went in himself but did nto like the bus trip at all... and he was letting everyone know how he feels about it
people were laughing at the sight of Zara the big dog and tiney Macius and how protecticve she was standing over the basket with HER cat in it LOL
So Zara had her booster and worming tablet, Macius will come home a tiney bit lighter.. got 3 more tablets for Fred, Teddy and George - this is going to be fun..... hate giving tablets to cats........but all are getting wormed on the same day, 1st March
and then flea treatment as well, going to dig it out now......ready for Macius when he comes home as my cats always bring fleas whenever I take them to ANY vets...0 -
At least you got seen earlier, better than hanging around till 11 (how boring!)
Sure Macius will manage to yowl his way home on the bus, despite being missing his pebbles.0
