Thanks J - no, there are no secured loans. CCCS website seems to need you to be in work. Does anyone know if this is correct?0

Hello there and welcome
I am so sorry for your loss, sounds like you have gone through a very traumatic time
I have no other advice to offer than what everyone else has said. Look after yourself first of all. Call Payplan or CCCS and let them support you through the process that you will need to go through to reach a more peaceful life financial.

Hi K,
Don't worry I'm sure you don't have to be working - all you need to do is have more going out than you have coming in and that's it.
Post later today after you have given CCCS a call and then we can move on from there.
Have a good day and chin up,

I am very worried that if you don't get it sorted now, they will bankrupt you, so your house comes into the equation.
Please follow jpet77's instructions - she is making loads of sense.
The IVA number is useful too, but you need to be quick.....

You can only get an IVA if you have disposable income. A DMP can usually be set up if you are on benefits, but some agencies would possibly recommend bankruptcy if you have no disposable income.
Everyone's individual circumstances are different, so there can be no 'hard and fast' rules - if possible you need to actually speak to them to get the best advice for your personal situation.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
