When do you start paying council tax again?

I assume that he has or will give up any accomodation where CT may be due as he is coming home for a bit until he can get another place again with the new job. If that is the case, it could be a good idea to say get him to pay you a 3rd share for yours and using that to help him save up for any deposit on a new place? Of course you and OH still pay your CT as a couple. So if he thinks that he is paying his way - but you are helping him to save towards another seposit instead - hope you can see where I am going on this.Amishwannabee wrote: »Please help. Son was a student, graduated and moved out of area to a new job but is coming home to live temporarily - say for six months next year with a new job. Does he have to pay any council tax when he returns home for that time or is he covered by the payments made by us on our home? Confused. Thank you.0
