Hello,
Ive got spiders invading my house. Im a big baby girl and live alone and i am petrified!
I want to repel them from the house rather than having to catch them myself.
Ive seen those electronic wall plug repellants - only problem is that i have pet rats.
Is there any repellant out there that is rattie friendly?
please help me guys, im desperate

We seem to be spider magnets too. Currently in a caravan whlst new house is built and all the spiders seem to move with us. The new house is building up a healthy population already.
Being Scottish we are not allowed to kill them. Far too unlcky to do that. (See Robert the Bruce and the Spider).0 -
big fat slipper to the head. Job Done
Or do what I did, get a cat! They love to nom the spiders (I have 13 cats, no insect is safe in my house!)

The cat thing is a good idea. The spiders will be eating all the nasty small bugs in your house. They're the good guys

Hi,
If you can't find a good repellant how about this http://www.spidercatcher.net/home.htm
I have one & can recommend it. You never have to kill a spider or go very near it to catch it.

Please dont kill spiders, they really wont harm you, catch them and put them outside.
You will also teach yur baby to be compassionate towards the animal world too.
They wont harm you other than tickle when they walk on you, also, they have no teeth.:Dmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Citrus is a natural spider repellent (apparently they 'taste' with their feet).
You can make up a solution in a spray bottle using pure lemon oil (in the form of essential oil) and water and then spray it around all the places where spiders can get in.
It can be an irritant to the noses of other animals though so best to put your ratties and any other animals in a safe place whilst spraying until it has dried.0 -
Apparently it's a good sign if spiders are invading.. according to a mate who's a brickie.. if there's spiders there's no damp in the property!:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0
