Best place for mattresses

Hey,

I have bought my dd a new single bed and thought mattresses would be easy to pick up but everywhere I look they are so expensive.

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a single mattress please?

Thank you

What budget do you have in mind? The one we have just thrown out was £25 from our local bed shop. We wanted cheap as we knew it wasn't a long term purchase - after three years of my very light daughter sleeping on it it was sagging despite being turned regularly.

    M&S replacement was £79.

In which case look for a local independent. Where I live they are in the parts of the city which were thriving in the 50s and 60s but nowadays are mainly populated by students. If you have it delivered it will turn up in a van in two tone off white and rust but you will have a bargain.

If the bed is only for your daughter, and you don't want to spend very much (£5-£10) then maybe call your local furniture reclamation scheme for a secondhand one.

Don't believe all the panic over bed bugs!
