Where do you want to fly from in the UK?

We've flown BA, Qantas, Malaysian and Emirates to Oz and I'd recommend Emirates everytime.

Last time we went I kept an eye on the net for flight prices and ended up getting the best deal with Emirates from Thomas Cook (shop, not online).

Probably good deals on emirates and Royal Brunei, if Singapore Airlines isn't much more go with them.

Just be aware that Emirates are allowing the use of mobile phones next year. Don't think I could stand that!

Totally depends on when you book. At the moment Royal Brunei are doing a great price (£584) for when I want to go next year, bur Virgin were the cheapest 2 weeks ago. I must book them soon lol.
  • If you have a HSBC credit card you can get some very good prices with Emirates.
We booked some flights last week to Perth for March next year and they were around £600 each per adult.
Have flown with Brunei before and got some good prices a couple of years ago but they couldn't compete with these Emirate prices.
You need to put in the promotional code UKHSBC1 to get the right prices with Emirates and pay with your HSBC card.
The benefit with Emirates over Brunei is one less stop.
    Matched betting profits since 11/10/06 = £1,554

I've only used emirates and qantas, both actually very good (qantas certainly better than i expected), but with emirates having the edge. for internal flights have used vigin blue - all the same as any low cost provider so just have to bear it...

  • Going Auz in July, still searching for flights though! Its around £900 on average!

Will it get cheaper nearer the time?

I don't know if this will help but we are flying the reverse way in Feb ;) and I have booked through Japan Airlines again. (2nd time) We couldn't fault them the first time and you get a free stopover in Japan included in the ticket. Free pickup & delivery back to airport & breakfast included. Just the thing for a long haul flight. I got our tickets direct from them.

Cost $2418 (one way for 2 adults) which is £972. It's cheaper again getting a return ticket but with our visa we can stay a bit longer and unsure how long we'll be. HTH
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
