Thank you dmg24, I will phone up the ESA people again. I have actually been trying for 3 months to claim it but every time I phone up they tell me something completely different and it's hard for me to follow what is actually correct information.
I was told that I would need a sick note from my doctor but my doctor won't fill it in because I am working part time. When I questioned the ESA people about this they said that's correct, you can only get it if you don't work at all.0 -
You will need a note from your doctor, but they are now called Fit Notes. Fit Notes give the doc the opportunity to note what you can do i.e. able to work very limited hours. I would Google some info on Fit Notes and take it with you when you see your GP.Gone ... or have I?0

Prinzessilein - Yes I only admitted it to myself and began medication 5 years ago. I have been reviewed a lot of time and tried a lot of different medications and the one I'm currently on is the only one that has kept my condition relatively stable.
My main problem is motivation, I have no 'get up and go', if I have too much to do I just instinctively freeze and can't do anything. I am having counselling and am waiting for psychotherapy which my doctor says is the best long term plan.
Thank you for the advice and it probably is time to get back to the doctor and see if there's anything else I can do to help, although I do seem to spend half my life there lol0 -
dmg24 - Thank you I didn't know that the name had changed. That's a great idea to print it out and take it along as she may not know about the changes.
Thank you!0 -
