EAN is a barcoding system used in Europe (European Article Numbering). The staff at the till most likely have to scan in the relevant barcode to deduct the £15.

I used the code for a delivery today and also had the EAN thing in my confirmation email too so I wouldn't let it worry you

It's an "old" one ... probably posted on the previous Tesco thread. I used this code ages ago. It's also listed on the few web sites that still post Tesco codes. Keep 'em coming though ... there are always people who miss them and/or are new to the board
