Hi,
Does anyone know what should costs for a solicitor to remove a registered charge on a property? I.e to complete and submit the ds1 form to the land registry on behalf of the lender? The charge is not a mortgage from a bank, it was a rental purchase agreement that was set up over a period of 10 years and has now been paid. I need to remove the charge in order to sell the house and have told the lender I will cover the necessery legal costs of removing the charge, but I am concerned the solicitor is going to overcharge the lender for what is a very streight forward procedure.
Appreciate any comments/advice!
