Thanks for this post. I ordered a pair of shoes last night and used both codes i.e £12.95 & 10% off - which were accepted and received a confirmation.

However, as it has been mentioned in earlier posts in this thread - I checked the my credit card authorisations this morning, the £12.95 code had not been applied. I rang them up and they confirmed; that once I have taken delivery of the goods - a credit will be applied on my c/c after 14 days. It has left me wondering - why that long?

I have told them that if the above does not happen - I will NOT contact them, but take the matter straight to the c/c company. Which is exactly what I will do, as you cannot send a confirmation, then turn around and charge a completely different amount to what has been agreed i.e. a contract - regardless of the T&C's.

i think it's that long because that is the length of their money back period '14 days'
so they don't want you getting the discount then returning the goods:confused:

Lx Direct are an absolute waste of time. I placed an Internet order (first timer) and used the discount codes posted on this site, credit card was debited a couple days later. Item didn't arrive after 5 days. I rang them and they said it was out of stock. It was clearly in stock the day I placed the order and for several days after. I think they gave priority to someone else who didn't use a discount code - as been mentioned before: bad business practice! Won't be shopping there again.
  • Well, I got my sandles today, no pillows yet. i'm worried now though that the discount wont come off. I tried to use my debit card to pay but it wouldn't let me, so I used my credit card. Hope it will be OK.

    Thanks for explanation.

I just received the shoes - they are new and unused. However, they are not in their original box - which does not matter too much, considering the price!

Now I have to wait and see, if they credit my card with the discount.

i have three accounts with lxdirect as there is 3 people in my household. i have used codes ***** for £12.95 off and ***** for £12.95 off loads of times.

i have got £126.00 worth of stuff for £22.93

heres a list of the stuff i've got:

    pack of 10 briefs
    another pack of 10 briefs
a pair of white pump style shoes
    a playboy bag
a pair of glamour shoes size 4 (too small)
another pair of glamour shoes size 6 (much better)
    a sequin scarf
and a pair of waffle pillowcases

i feel quite guilty about this but its not my fault the codes took the discount off?

so i don't think i will be doing this anymore.
