Smooth Mover - Bellway Homes

I am trying to move and I have an Estate Agent acting for me. I dont want to pay for multiple agents. I am interested in a new build, and the builder has suggested they help me find a buyer by using their smooth mover package. They say I will not need to pay for multiple agents as they have arrangements in place with various agents.

Can anyone let me know of any pitfalls I may encounter if I accept this offer? Many thanks

Hello there. I thought the David Wilson 'Movemaker' scheme was for me too. However, I booked in their estate agents on the same week that I got 3 other valuations from other agents. My private valuations ranged between £200k and £250k. The david wilson agents both came in at £180k. I was disgusted by this, as I would lose out on between £20 and £70k of profit on my house. I have therefore decided to sell it privately and see what I get. David Wilson have called me and understand why I rejected their offer, and still want me to keep in touch. I do still want the house but am not willing to let David Wilson have my well earned cash. Beware they will profit out of you on both ends!
