Cheques gone missing on their way to RBS

I run a small business and bank with RBS Business Banking Direct which is a postal account. I sent 4 cheques to them last week which haven't turned up. They very helpfully suggested I check with my customers to see if they've been cleared. One customer has checked as he has online banking, it hasn't gone through so he's stopped the cheque at a cost of £5 which I of course will have to pay.
Does anybody know how I stand in trying to get stopped cheque charges in respect of missing cheques back from RBS?

Stopping cheques is usually a service charge which you cannot reclaim. The issue of lost cheques is something you need to take up with RBS/Royal Mail.0
