York Weekend 22nd to 24th July

This is a rare one for me. I'm usually giving advice on where to stay in my favourite city and my old alma mata. However, as its the races and music weekend with Blondie and Scouting for Girls on after the races my regular haunts are all full. I've tried loads of hotels and guest houses and theyr'e all either full out out of our price range. I planned to take my son and his partner and I normally pay around £260- £280 for 2 doubles for two nights.
Can anyone recommend anywhere?
Thanks

It's an extremely busy weekend, most places I know are more like £120-£140 a night and upwards of that.

Have you tried the nearest Premier Inn/Innkeepers/ budget accommodation websites?

Have you actually looked on the York website?

Have a look at some fo the outlying villages close to the ring road where you can get a service bus in or the Park and Ride bus.

Thanks, could change dates but we'd miss both the racing and the gig.
