To celebrate the extra bank holiday on April 29, Currys and PC World have teamed up with The Times and Sony to give three amateur photographers and videographers the chance to win cash prizes, a laptop or a camera. Your shots could even feature in thetimes.co.uk’s royal wedding coverage. All you must do is make us smile.

Whether you are celebrating the wedding, enjoying a day at home with family and friends of jetting off somewhere exciting to get away from it all we want to see the snaps of your day off. The judges will choose the photos and video they feel best represents what the British public were doing on April 29 and that make them smile the most.

The best photo and video will win £5,000 each. The runner-up photo will win a Sony Vaio ultra mobile laptop and the third photo runner-up will win a Sony Alpha DSL TA55L DSLR Camera.


To enter, send your photograph or video to [EMAIL="smile@thetimes.co.uk"]smile@thetimes.co.uk[/EMAIL] before midnight on May 6. All entries must include the photographer’s name, address, telephone number, and the name of the subject if applicable.
