no nail glue

Can anyone tell me if this stuff is any good?
My husband wants to put wood baton either end of the front of a window recess to support a blind - I dont know the weight of the blind but its for a window about 5-6 ft wide and there is an average drop
Many thanks

    As above.

You need at least a couple of screws else it will just take a layer of paint off & fall to the floor at some stage.
    Not Again
  • I stuck a heavy fire surround to wall with nothing but glue, had lots of ornaments on top too. It was still stuck as good as new when I moved house seven years later. No nails/screws used at all. However, I did live in fear of somebody leaning on it and it would come crashing down. Not the best solution - but the easiest (and laziest - for someone like me). On reflection, if I'd have had kids at home I think I would have used screws for safety.

It's holding up two layers of 12.5mm plasterboard on wooden batons all around my RSJ on it's own and there's far more weight in that.

The brown one is better than the white version, but it does smell alot more when applied.

Any glue is only as good as the two surfaces it is sticking together !

If one side of the bond is a layer of paint or a plaster skim - it will pull that off the wall ....................no problem........:o

Funny thing is, the instructions tell you to use a couple of nails to hold it in place whilst the glue sets.
