Birmingham chillout bar ? any ideas?

Hi everyone.
I am visiting Birmingham this weekend and wanted to know if there are any great bars with lounges, where you can have a quiet drink with a friend for a catch up and chill?
I know theres many reviews online, but nothing can compare with personal experiences .. :T
Any recommendations?

You don't say what area of Brum you're visiting, but if you're near Bordesley Green, you could try The Victoria Inn. Don't be put off by the exterior. It's very relaxed inside after the excitement last year.

The champagne bar at the back of the Mailbox is great for the atmosphere - but I tend to go there only when someone else is paying

There's also the Bars at Brindlyplace which are good
