As my cold sore reared it's ugly head last week, I bought a tube of ZOVIRAX ointment - the tube contains only 2g and is priced at £4.98, which by my reckoning works out at £2,490,000 per tonne!

Not sure about dearer items, but Boots' own brand cold sore cream is cheaper than Zovirax and is exactly the same.0
