I'm in a simalar position having to do two jobs just to stay afloat. I lost £25 last week and looking like another £5 this week. I cant afford this for very much longer and think I would be better on dole, at least rent and council tax be paid then I could reduce my payments to provvi and it would be someone elses problem. not looked at any paper yet as am just home from work but will try looking online. thank s0

just read the article daily mirror investigates. interesting to see how that works out. lets hope they can be shamed to a return to normal.0

I too am an agent for Provident and have now become totally disgusted at what they are doing to their loyal and long standing agents. I actually phoned CAB to see if they are allowed to put this charge on us and was told thats its illegal to penalise some one for something they havent done. They can offer incentives but not penalise us. Maybe I should phone the head office and speak to someone there to tell them what I had been told. It also seems the DMs know this is illegal but seem powerless/not bothered to do anything about it.0

Maybe Wtachdog would like to hear about this!!0

A couple of hours ago, someone wrote a post about arranging a mass refusal of loans etc, but the post has disappeared.
It refered to the Providents current main aims, therefore it was someone in a higher position than us measly peasants.
Why have you removed your posting? Or is my p.c playing up.
It is a great idea to arrange a mass refusal of loans, as my AM/DM is constantly pushing for sales. They don't care if the people cant afford it, it's not them who get penalised.
There has been over 2000 views on this topic, so to all the agents who are reading this, put down what you think and see if the provi like the bad press.0 -
agents still getting ripped of by provident & greenwoods but in my local office we have dms given bankrupt & write off a 2nd chances no dout agents will have to pay again after paying £5 to send of to court so where does self employed come in is it just for tax and holidays becauce they lay down the law with the rest (agents need to get the gether on this or they will walk all over us and we are better than that)0

Well said Hammyman. The Provident are a bunch of blood-sucking parasites who prey on the hard-up. Whilst I realise that the agents need paying commission, interest rates are higher than my local money lender.Never Knowingly Understood.

I think there should be a mass spread the word to all agents out there. tell all your freinds toget on daily mirror website to penman and sommerlad investigates. its on opinion pages, no need to pay or subscribe. we all should be standing together and when it comes to sales missing there targets and stopping anyone above getting bonus. think if i was a d/m or above right now i would be seriously think about another job because itmight be hard work in the coming months.just remember we may be very small cogs in a big machine but together we keep the company running and we all know what happens when a cog breaks the whole machine grinds to a stop.0

Just read your posting and are outraged!!, you are obviously aware that Provident and Greenwood are one of the same, and to find out that Provident DM's are telling their agents to encourage customers to pay Provident and not Greenwoods just highlights what a absolute sham this is, wish i knew which DM is was as i am a collector acting for Greenwoods and are fuming about this latest twist!!0

Im a Provi Agent too. Im discusted with the latest twist from the company. How about someone starting a Facebook page to encourage ALL agents, Provi and Greenwoods to all go ill for a week at the same time. Im sure the customers would spread the word to agents. The threat of this and the massive amount of lost revenue will have the bosses quaking in their shiny boots. You know how the DMs are always pushing for more sales and collections. It would worry them no end. Just imagine, no money coming in for a week!!! I dont know how to do this on facebook but if someone out there could do it, im sure it would put the point across. Thanks Jane.0
