Moulded doors or solid pine

Hi.
I am looking at replacing my current doors (all started with buying some replacement handles cheaply on ebay!!!) have someone oming around to look at latches etc and door sizes but he can get doors from Howdens and with the discount I think the knotty pine doors come out at around the same price that I would pay for moulded doors in wickes etc.

Are there any drawbacks to the pine doors? can they cut down to size more than the moulded doors? are they ok to paint? which would you get
thanks

A solid door certainly looks and feels a lot better than a hollow one. Can take more abuse. If you get a dent in a solid door it can be filled and painted. Dent a hollow door and it will require replacing!!

We have just taken delivery of the Magnet 6 panel pine and they are super quality very pleased with them not at all knotty. My expectations were not great when the architect specified them. Well worth a look.
