Gas engineer whom I totally trust has quoted me for full central heating system & recommends Valiant 28 boiler. He said I could have the next model up 32?, as would have better flow, but would cost more to run...How do I figure out how much more it would cost to run please?
System will be 11 radiators, boiler & thermostatic shower. Solid wall semi - 3 beds/2 receptions, double fronted so a fair size.
I really want to maximise the flow as I want good pressure. Thoughts would be appreicated please & thanks

I think you have answered your own question. If you want to maximise the flow, go for the larger boiler. Our house is almost exactly the same size as yours and we went for the larger Boiler (a potterton but the same 32kW). I am glad I did. I can run the bath tap at full whack and still get piping hot water from the tap.
If you dont want to be waiting for baths to run, buy the larger boiler.0 -
You need to measure your cold mains flow before making any decisions.
I assume he is offering a choice between the Ecotec pro 28 or the Ecotec Plus 831.
If, by your thread, he is offering the Ecotec Exclusive 832, then avoid this, as the exclusive range are problem boilers.0
