Well he didn't get way scot free. The jury just took into consideration the mitigating circumstances.
He has been given a fine eight points for driving without due care and will face a disciplinary hearing as well.0 -

If your mates you can simply pull over where safe and tell them to get lost.
If your police officer with someone who under arrest/being detained this is not a option. I'm saying the police driver is not entirely innocent and i do think he was driving without due care. I think the Jury got it right on this one.0 -
