Unfair bashing of Door-to-Door Sales Reps

Hear Hear, Funkmaster. When I get Jehovah blokes at the door I tell them I'm Greek Unorthodox and use some of the few Greek words I know and they go away. You don't need to be rude or offensive, just firm.

Regarding possible nefarious activity on my part Smartasss; I don't knock on anyones door without an invitation and its technically impossible for any T+ rep to sign up a customer who does not fill in a Direct Debit form. Telecom Plus reject any application where the DD form has not been filled in.

I have, many times had this argument re being rude to Energy sales people

Simply questions to ask;

1) R U registered with ENERGY SURE?

If the answer is yes proceed to 2nd question, if answer is no, advise them you only deal with sales/advise people registered with energysure.

2) can i see your energy sure badge.

If the answer is yes proceed to 3rd question, if answer is no, advise them you only deal with sales/advise people registered with energysure. (to not carry the badge is an energysure offense)

3) Make note of the Energysure badge number.

4) Are you here to sell or advise me regarding energy savings?

My bets are that they will not risk lying, as complaining to Energysure will loose them their licence.

If you are able to follow these very simple rules then you need never be rude or abusive to any energy sales person EVER again.

If you are just a rude obnoxious person that believes that they have the right to insult or verbally abuse people the they feel are lower than them remember the principle of KARMA.

If all else fails remember 1 small thing.
