Young couple week away.

Hello :)

Me and my OH are looking for a week away somewhere nice and sunny.
Budget is around £400-500 for the both of us, self catering or half board would be fine.
We're in our early twenties but don't really like clubs and somewhere too lively. We'd prefer to explore villages/towns and then have a quiet night at a bar etc!
We can go anytime between 10th June to the end of August. I'm guessing June would be best money wise as it's not school holidays, although we don't mind being around children at all.
Preferably flying from Manchester but Liverpool is also do able.

Main places that seem to be coming up in our budget is Majorca.
Any help or suggestions would be great :)

Thanks very much!

There's plenty to see and do in Majorca - just avoid Magaluf if you don't want too lively. Maybe somewhere on the East coast which is quieter (as long as you don't mind Germans). Go in June to avoid the crowds...

    Alcudia is lovely

My bf and I love it there, have been twice in last 3 years and will probably go again this year

we havent been self catering before there but plan to this year as so many restaurants and places to get food in to cook.

The beach is lovely, good night life but not like Magaluf, plenty to do etc
  • Thanks! We've found a nice hotel in Cala Bona.

Looked at flights on Ryanair for a certain date and it says 'only 2 seats left' - I have flown with Ryanair before but can't remember their procedure. Do you sit where you like or do you get assigned seats? If there are only 2 seats left I wouldn't want to be sat separate! Thanks again.

No reserved seating, so just make sure you're not right at the end of the queue and you should be OK.

Pay close attention to their baggage rules, in particular the no pooling of allowances, which is a pain. We usually travel with one suitcase between two of us which is fine on practically every other airline but RyanAir don't allow one 25Kg case between 2.
