Greedy seller

The item generally sells for between £22 and £25 plus ~£2 postage.
This seller was charging £5 p+p (item is small and weighs next to nothing) plus a 3.5% Paypal premium. Also threatened negative feedback if Paypal payment wasn't made within 3 days!
I bid £10 (total £15.53) and won the item.
If he hadn't been greedy he'd have got more bids for sure.

Why, ebay won't do anything about it.0

personally i send payment via paypal asap after winning (and dont include the paypal premium)
if they complain (which 6 havent at the moment), then they can refund and i will cancel the purchase........
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Yes - seems to be getting more and more common though.
I had a choice. Bid and get a bargain. Don't bid and pay more. By bidding, (morally if not legally), I felt bound to honour the sellers conditions (an extra 53p).
In the end the seller lost out not me.0 -

yep i agree, just look at the the big picture if your getting a bargain thats the thing whats counts for you.no the guy shoudnt charge for paypal but as you say you had a choice and decided to buy(good choice:) )0 -
The silver lining about charging premiums for PayPal is that exposes the amount of money this company gets from people.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Good comment - can't remember who! If you are getting a bargain then 35p won't make too much difference! although it is the principle! If he wanted to charge 35p for paypal he shoulda just kept Shtum!

Personally, i dont charge for paypal, and another trick to get in more bids is to offer free p&p.
I find that you usually get more that way than if you had added postage.
For example, i sold a large item last week, that other sellers were charging £20 p&p for. Their items were generally bid up to the £80 mark.
I sold the same thing with free p&p and was bid upto £115 for it. The item only cost £12 to post (parcelforce 48, sig. on delivery), so i was quids in compared to the other sellers.
Try it...it really works0
