Hi all,
I have a new house and we need to buy a fridge freezer. We cannot afford to re do our kitchen until the new year (too much other mess at the moment!!) but would like an integrated fridge freezer when we do this. Could we buy one of the integrated fridge freezers from comet or currys or such like, and then integrated it in when we but a new kitchen?
Thanks!!

No reason why not. It just wont look very "pretty", as long as you are ok with this, then it makes perfect MSE sense

Perfectly usable - as Cyco says, it won't look pretty, might be a bit awkward to open, balance of the doors might be a bit out (if the panels are designed to attach to the f/f doors) but you'll be pleased when you eventually get round to doing up the kitchen.0

Oh, just an after-thought following on from the post by loracan1:
Make sure you fix the back of the F/F to the wall somehow. Int. appliances tend to be front heavy, so you need to eliminate the risk of it falling forward.0 -
thanks..the rest of the kitchen looks ugly so that won't make any difference!!!
my main concern was whether they were 'standardised or not but they all look to be about the same size tbh!!

Yeah, they are all pretty much the same size, just make sure when you get the housing for it, it is the right one. (50/50, 60/40 or 70/30)0

Hi Moomin21
As you have been advised by Cyco and loracan1, although it is not recommended by manufacturers, you are able to leave an integrated fridge freezer as freestanding model. Providing you are happy that it won't look very nice until it is integrated, there should not be an issue.
I hope this helps.
