EON -> British Gas limbo

Hi, provided meter reads to my new supplier (BG) a week ago; BG say they passed the readings on to EON; EON say they haven't received any readings from BG.

Does anybody know what the procedure is here? Can I demand a final bill from EON or will they only do that when they receive the readings from BG? Thanks.

    irc the churn process (moving from one supplier to another) may take as long as 6 weeks.

    Hi grumpycrab,

    You may just need to give this a bit longer as the readings that BG have sent need to be verified by third party companies (data collectors) before E.ON can use them to produce a final bill.

    E.ON will need to receive the readings, to enable them to produce an accurate final bill.

    My switch got caught up in the verification process and lost a few weeks so, as others have posted, you need to wait it out a bit longer but it will be okay. It took 6-8 weeks for me because of this verification bit.
