How long do you get out of your foundation

I use Doublewear too, I can't imagine using so much that it would only last 6-8 weeks:eek:

I just use mine probably 6 days per week - I don't know it that's "so much".

Mine tend to last around 6 months - again, the popular Bourjois healthy mix. Good coverage, so don't need a lot of it.

i was told in boots the other day that foundation was meant to be discarded after 5 mnth..mascara 12 weeks :eek: same as eyeliner and lipstick 4 mnths..all i kept thiking was OMG does this woman have a family that she can afford to do that..then again she did work for clinique so i guess she gets make-up discount..oh and eyeshadow 12 weeks as well....my make-up items are ummm like 8 mnths old..:)..im surprised my face has stayed on after listening to her :rotfl::rotfl:

hmmmm lol the problem is if i was to discard everything i'd have to try and replace it and as i hardly ever wear anything except concealer (too lazy )

Yes makeup isn't supposed to have a very long shelf life. Although I wear foundation every day, I don't wear much else. I probably only wear mascara once every 3 months, so if I bought a new one each time then they'd only get one use each!

I'm surrprised by some of the replies on this thread, as I've checked which Estee Lauder it is that I use, and it's the Double Wear which is mentioned by a couple of others on here.

I've always felt that I probably use too much of it - I'm usually in a rush and just stick it on in a hurry without much thought. So I'm really surprised that mine lasts apparently 3 times more than some people!

Elemental Beauty foundation, worn at least 5 days a week and it lasts well over a year
