Birthday day out for a 13 year old girl?

My girl becomes a teenager soon :( so I've decided were gonna have a mum/daughter day out *somewhere*!

We have no transport, so relying on buses/coaches/trains, Must be local-ish to East Midlands, London is about the furthest we could travel.
She's not much of a 'doing' child, anything adventrious wouldn't appeal to her much.
and this need to be done of a budget of around £200.

any ideas people ? I've looked and looked, but i'm stumped. Oh will be going 28th April.

Day trip to London by train. Use 2 for 1 train offer to go on London Eye, etc or just walk around sites.
We loved the Clipper boats on the Thames, they were also on 2 for 1.

I have booked a hair cut/style, make up and photoshoot for my teenage daughter's birthday for her and 2 friends in London with Virgin Expereinces after seeing a post on MSE and was reduced from £49 to £12. It includes an A4 photo. I don't know if they have a salon in your area that is included in this promotion or maybe they do a Mum and daughter type experience.

West End show is also a good idea, maybe a matinee performance so you could get home via Megabus cheaply afterwards (as think you would struggle to get a hotel for a reasonable price in London for your date due to the Royal Wedding bank holiday). We saw Wicked again on a matinee performance and it was excellent.

Just had another thought, although not probably on the day but if she is into her music a music event might be soemthing she would look forward to. The Capital Summertime Ball held at Wembley Stadium last year had lots of different acts and the additional great atmosphere of a huge stadium. This years is not advertised yet, but is usaully June time-might be something to look forward to.

if you are quick just seen a post for £19 London hotel room on Monday 30 May so may be worth waiting and giving her a London treat day with hotel stay over. It is in the half term so would be something to remember her 13th. Southwark is great as it is near the Eye, Embankment etc and new Tl plus they do a good buffet breakfast and it woudl only cost for you as she would eat free.
