Home exchange recommendations

Hi. I hope that I have posted this in the correct forum.
I have an apartment in Spain. It is a beautiful apartment, with views over the Mar Menor Sea. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, we can no longer travel abroad so sadly we have to sell. However, I would still love to have a place by the sea in the UK. Preferably in the South-West,as that is home for me and living in the Midlands, I miss it very much.
After watching Escape to the Country, the other day. A couple exchanged their house in France for the one the viewed in Cheddar. This seems like a good option for us. However, I wouldn't know the first thing about how to go about this. Do you still have to pay the same fees for selling and buying? Also, can anybody recommend any good sites for finding properties that wish to exchange? I have found one but of course it's difficult to know how legit it is and I would very much appreciate any personal recommendations.
Thanks, as always for any help!

I've found out that I still have to pay the same taxes as I would for a conventional sale.
I would still very much appreciate any pointers as to where to list my apartment for the exchange. I don't know if any one here has any experience of this or can make any recommendations.
Many thanks0
