Preston - Edinburgh trains....
Hi everyone
My daughter and her friends are wanting to go and see an exhibition in Edinburgh next Tuesday. One of them has a rail card but I have looked and I can only find a return trip of £33.00 for those that dont have a card. Can they do this any cheaper using split fares or something similiar?
Thanks in advance

I think you got the cheapest and best value ticket which gives your daughter the best options on getting to Edinburgh and back without having to be restricted to certain trains. I could knock off £3 by going via Glasgow on the way up (takes a lot longer) and then leaving Edinburgh late at night.
If she's going to be using the train again it might be worth getting a 16-25 railcard here's a link to a 10% discount on the price.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0
