    Have a look at Thrifty.co.uk.

they have sites in Birmingham and have a saab 9-3 drop top for £150 from Sat morning to Monday morning.

£75 per day is quite cheap if you ask me.

    Cheers

    Rob

Very long shot and short notice, but you could look at whipcar.com
As I said, long shot... but you never know.

    £39.50/day, £150/week http://www.whipcar.com/hire-my-car/GoodysCar/

That's amazingly cheap. Anyone used them, got any feedback?

Does anyone know what level the excess for the insurance is at? The policy document on the website just says you'll be informed when you book the car? I'm hoping it's not the total value of the car!

Excess generally starts at c. £500 but you can vary it by the amount you want to pay upfront - more you pay the lower the excess.

Have you not got a council tax bill you can use - this is usually sent to the house, not the landlord?

I hired a car last week through enterprise and all my bills and banking are done online so took my council tax bill and they accepted that as ID.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
