Does anyone know how much it would cost to go private and see a child psychologist? What kind of price do they charge? If dla decide shes entitled i'm thinking this might be the best root to go down as I hear they are very good but I havent got a clue what it would cost to go private??
A fortune ! You would most likely end up with ths same CAMHs psyc but in a private capacity costing you anything from £50 - 150 per hour.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -

Many schools and LAs do not recognise information provided by private psychologists. So you could spend a lot of money and make little progress. It may be more worthwhile to keep chasing CAMHS for an urgent appoinment.DLA will not go far towards private fees and currently most applications are turned down first time round even when a child has a clear confirmed medical diagnosis and is known to services.
