Are there any banks offering 0% balance transfers for larger balances like £8000?

Most credit card companies will allow you to balance transfer up to 90% of the credit limit available (95% for some).
So it all depends on what credit limit you can obtain. And that in turn depends on your credit history, financial position, earnings, existing debts, existing unused credit etc.
As a general rule not many people are offered new cards with limits of that sort of size, these days banks tend to start with lower credit limits and see that the account is used responsibly before increasing credit limits.
Thats not to say its impossible to get that sort of limit, a very high earner with a perfect credit history might feasibly be offered a high enough limit.
Of course if you get a lower limit then it can still work out financially worthwhile to transfer part of the balance from a higher rate card.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
