paying off overdraft with a credit card help!

Hi all,new to the site would like to know,what would be the best card to pay off my overdraft its sitting at £3800,ive got a virgin money card but unfortunately can't use it because of 2 late payments so its on a temporary block,with nothing on it plus apr is now back to 20% and after talking to them haven't got any new deals to offer as an exsisting customer thanks.:)

    Well most cards that have this feature are MBNA backed, like your virgin card, so your late payments are likely to mean you won't get an MBNA backed card.

    The only other 2 cards that allow you to pay off an overdraft would be post office cards or the M&S money card (which you have to buy sterling travellers cheques to then deposit into your bank account). That said the late payments, which are presumably recorded on your credit files) might also affect your chances of getting these cards as well.

    They're may also be a question as to why it would be worth putting on credit card. Have you checked the relevant interest charges of the overdraft against any possible credit cards (which I would normally expect to be higher).

    I think they meant to get a 0% credit card, so only a BT fee to pay if they could pay off the debt within the promo period.
