Peak District - ideas

Hi,
Looking to travel to Peak District (next week or the week after) from London. 2 adults & 1 senior. I'm looking at ideas for where to go in Peak District.
What we would like is sort of picturesque view, possibly waterfalls. Ideally within 45 minutes - 1 hour walk from car park. Not interested in museums.
Are there any suggestions ? Also, any suggestion on hotel/b&b as a base ? We plan to stay 2/3 nights.
Thanks

Thanks. I was looking for suggestions for people who've been there and have some views. I've been googling but finding it difficult to find a place to go about which are close to car parks.
I know there are lots of places to see if you're happy to walk miles.0 -
TBH discount Matlock Bath if your not wanting to walk or have trouble walkin . Discount Peaks if you want to see waterfalls and dont want to walk or have trouble walking . Hahaha Matlock Bath is great and the carparks are close by but alot of things you want to do are quite literally above you in the hills. Driving the peaks and carparks are easy accessible try the lakeside area as Derwent and Hayfield ??(spl) offers head northen Derbyshire and visit Glossop & the cat & fiddle for great drives too:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
