Help Me Choose A Bike....

Options
I'm looking for a mountain bike! Have about a £1000 to spend! Can someone recommend a bike from these two websites?

rutlandcycling.com/g/61/Mountain-Bikes.html

and

stores.ebay.co.uk/Rutland-Cycling-Established-1981/Mountain-Bikes-/_i.html?_fsub=5130157&_sid=303943136&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

Any help will be much appreciated! If you can post a link will be brilliant!

Why do you want to buy from them specifically? Surely you must have more specific requirements than 'mountain bike' if you are spending£1k?

Can anyone please help me? :money:
Try here, http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=20005 but you will need to be more specific about your requirements/riding type.

    Hello.
You're looking to spend serious money, are you sure you wouldn't rather buy from a shop where you can have test ride. As you probably know, many would argue you should do this even for a budget bike.

Also, as great as this forum is, you're probably getting a bit specialised at that budget so you might do better on a cycling forum, they're usually really helpful with such things. And, thelawman says, you may then want to be a bit more specific!

PS. If buying online I tend to use Wiggle or Bike Plus.

I've just had some good experiences from Rutland Cycles before...Worth a try if you are into cycling...

    you are spending £1k
what sort of riding do you do?
    what do you ride now?
do you want a HT or FS rig?

you need to test ride or at a minimum at least sit on the bikes.
eg,I like Marins as they are a slightly stretched out fit, whilst others dont like that position
