Thursday 14th April - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning all!
Wasn't sure if I was going to post today as didn't really have anything interesting to put but when I saw the thread wasn't started I had to...lol
Here is my list:-
- Checked banking, nothing scary!
- Write Mr T's list to feed family down next week
- Buy a few more easter eggs
- Sell a purge!
- Tumble ran over night last night on Eco7
- Will run washing over night tonight
- Try not to get screened out of surveys!
- Charge phone off work computor
- Put £30 fuel in and drive conservatively!!!
Have a wonderful sparkley day!

Hi Jo, thanks for starting the thread. I think we're all a bit cautious of starting two so no-one wants to take the plunge!
The corsets were a huge success last night and loads of business cards were taken. I wonder how many will turn into actual orders
So far today:- checked banking - surprisingly good
- checked for surveys - only £1.50 to go
- made lunch to take to work
- fed and watered the chickens
- have free drinks at work
- do half hour walk at lunch time
- read for the other half an hour
- have all meals from stores
- have an NSD
- get into sewing room tonight instead of spend all evening on t'internet

Oh, maybe try and sort out my tax code also, i'm super confused over on "Cuttin Tax" board, all this talk of P60's, P45's, tax years, 647L, Month 1, argh! my head is fried!! Might just call up HMRC with my p45 and see what they say haha.

Try and pay in my HMRC cheque, which I told them I never received and have no found. Just hope it goes in OK.
Take my 5 pots back to lush for free face mask
Post final ebay parcel

Pack bags for week and also gear for next weeks bike ride. Weather is looking iffy!
Early night

No kidding, Pernie. Where is everyone.
Great news on the corsets, stitchy.
I've had a few big spending days, but hopefully much of it I can claim back from work as they are necessary for my relocation. Over the last few days I've bought a motorcycle helmet, four summery tops, work trousers, paid for an eye exam and for my visa. Money leaving my pockets from all directions!
I need to get going, but today:- I will walk to work
- lunch from home
- go to pick up my visa at lunch time
- try (again!) to change my address at the bank
- work out whats up with my pay packet this month and my expenses
- work out if I need to buy a laptop to bring with me for work - if so I'll get one on my corporate card
- try not to get too drunk / poor at my leaving drinks tonight!!
Have a good one, everybody!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Stitchy that's fantastic news re the corsets - am keeping everything crossed for you!
last night we went to see Source Code at the cinema - orange weds using the £10 I found, so tickets for 2, pop corn & a drink cost us £5.30 (£4 of which came out of our £2 savers)
today I really must get back on the wagon - where I have been down I've taken my eye off of the prize...- NSD
- check banking & shift funds into savings
- dinner from batch cooked mince - shepperds pie
- go for a run/or go to the gym...
- text friend and get her to give me the dates she can't do the sun holiday
